A birthday card for my father in law, and ...

Hello and welcome to my blog. I am really busy these days with my school work, so I didn't have time to post anything. But today I bring a card I made for my father in law. His birthday was this month of September, and here is the card.

Hola y bienvenidos a mi blog. Estoy muy ocupada estos días con el trabajo del cole (programaciones y correcciones), así que no he tenido tiempo de actualizar el blog. Pero hoy traigo una tarjeta que hice para el cumpleaños de mi suegro, que ha sido este mes de septiembre. Aquí está la tarjeta.

I used this black and white patterned paper. Then I trimmed a piece of black cardstock and two stripes of a very light green cardstock. I heat embossed the sentiment (it is not very clear...) and added three gems and a little bow.

Usé un papel decorado en blanco y negro. Corté un trozo de cartulina negra y dos pequeñas tiras de cartulina verde muy claro. Hice el mensaje con polvos de embossing (aunque no me ha quedado demasiado bien...) y añadí tres gemas y un lazo de cuerda.

And to finish, I told you I was going to show you what I made for my students in the first day of school. Here you have the bookmarks with their names.

Y para añadir algo más hoy, ya dije que iba a enseñaros lo que hice para mis alumnos el primer día de cole. Pues son esto marcapáginas, con sus nombres.

Daisies, daisies... shiny card

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a card for a challenge. It's all about daisies, so I've made a card with daisies, lots of them. I love daisies. My name is Margarita ( daisy in Spanish).

Hola y bienvenidos a mi blog. Hoy tengo una tarjeta para un reto. Se trata de hacer algo con margaritas, así que he hecho una tarjeta con muchas, muchas margaritas. Me encantan las margaritas, más las gerberas, que son enormes margaritas de todos los colores. Mi nombre es Margarita, así que...

I've stamped lots of flowers in a white panel, and used orange ink to make the background. Then I've painted the petals with wink of stella, but you can't see the shimering look of the card here.

He puesto un sello de margarita por toda la cartulina blanca que he usado como panel central. He usado tinta naranja para dar un toque de color al fondo. Después he pintado los pétalos con wink of stella para darle brillo, pero no se aprecia en la fotografía.

I've used different pieces of cardstock to pop up the daisies.

Utilizando varias cartulinas de colores he hecho los marcos para resaltar las margaritas.

Green lines card

Hello and welcome to my blog. It's been a long time since I wrote in the blog, but it has been a crazy beginnig of the school year. I am in a new school, and I have been working hard in my new class. The class was not ready until the day before kids arrived, and I had to wait for the men working on it to leave. So everything is undone...

But now I'm back and today I have a card I've made during the weekend for the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge #140

Hola y bienvenidos a mi blog. Hace mucho que no escribo en el blog, pero ha sido un comienzo de curso algo difícil. Este año estoy en un colegio nuevo, y he estado trabajando en mi nueva clase. La clase en sí no estuvo lista hasta el día antes de que los niños llegaran, y tuve que esperar a que los trabajadores se fueran para entrar. Así que todo está sin hacer...

Pero ya estoy aquí, y hoy tengo una tarjeta que he hecho este fin de semana para el reto de CAS(E) this Sketch #140.

It is a very simple card. I like green, and I decided to use different greens to make it. Then I used a word die for the sentiment, and a few sequins to decorate it.

Es una tarjeta muy sencilla. Me gusta el verde, y decidí elegir diferentes tonos de verde para hacerla. Usé un troquel con las palabras para el mensaje, y unas cuantas lentejuelas para decorar. 

The black panel is embossed with small dots.

El panel negro del fondo está gofrado con puntitos pequeños.

Read, read... a little gift

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I am showing you the bookmarks I made for my students at the end of the school year. I know school is starting now, but I will post the gifts I am giving my new students this year soon.

Hola y bienvenidos a mi blog. Hoy os enseño los marcapáginas que hice para mis alumnos al final del curso. Ya sé que el cole empieza ahora, pero ya os enseñaré los regalitos que les voy a dar a mis nuevos alumnos este año muy pronto.

Birthday cards with a word die - Felicidades

Hello and welcome to my blog. A few months ago I got a word die in Spanish saying "Felicidades"(Happy). So I decided to do two cards with it.

Hola y bienvenidos a mi blog. Hace un par de meses compré un troquel con la palabra "Felicidades". Así que decidí hacer dos tarjetas con él.

In one of the I used fun foam to add volumen to the word. In the other one I used silver paper.

En una de ellas utilicé foam para dar volumen a la palabra. En la otra utilicé papel plateado.

This is the one with fun foam. It really made the word pop up. I also glued the same die in a patterned paper on top of the foam.

Esta es la que tiene foam. Hace que la palabra resalte muy bien. También pegué el mismo troquel de papel decorado encima del foam.

For the background I used Disstress Inks and water. It's a technique I like a lot.

Para el fondo usé tintas Disstress y agua. Es una técnica que me gusta mucho.

Back from holidays

Hello and welcome to my blog. I am back from my holidays. I've been with my family in the island of Lanzarote, in the Canary Islands. It's a wonderful place. It's full of volcanoes, and the landscape is almost like the Moon.

Hola y bienvenidos a mi blog. Ya estoy de vuelta de las vacaciones. He estado con mi familia en la isla de Lanzarote, en las Islas Canarias. Es un sitio maravilloso. Está lleno de volcanes, y el paisaje es casi como el de la luna.

 

This is the National Park of Timanfaya. It has spectacular views and totally different from anything I had seen.

 

Este es el Parque Nacional de Timanfaya. Tiene vistas espectaculares, y es totalmente diferente a cualquier cosa que hubiera visto antes.

 



This is a volcanoe. It is half into the water.

Este es un volcán. La mitad está dentro del agua.

 

 

And these are Los Hervideros. It is part of the lava that went into the water and created caves.

 

Y estos son Los Hervideros. Es parte de la lava que cayó en el mar y creó cuevas por donde entra el agua.



 

 

 

We also had time to go to the beach and enjoy the waves.

 

También tuvimos tiempo de ir a la playa y disfrutar de las olas.

 

 

 

And the spectacular sunsets from the hotel room.

 

Y las espectaculares puestas de sol desde la habitación del hotel.

 

 

 

And we finished our holidays in León. This is the Cathedral. See you next time with a craft project.

Get well card with Tim Holtz's crazy birds

Hello and welcome to my blog. As I was a bit sick this month, as soon as I started to craft, I made a card for myself. A get well card.

Hola y bienvenidos a mi blog. Como he estado enferma este mes, tan pronto como empecé a hacer otra vez manualidades, hice una tarjeta para mí. Una tarjeta para recuperarme.
Para hacerla utilicé las imágenes de los pájaros de Tim Holtz que me envió una participante de un reto que hago todos los meses. Es Jerrie y este es su blog http://www.coloringoutsidethelinez.blogspot.com.es/

That's the inside of the card. I coloured this bird in blue. The sentiment says "mejórate pronto" which means "Get well soon".

Este es el interior de la tarjeta. Coloreé ese pájaro de azul. El mensaje está dedicado a mí misma.

In the outside of the card I put the other bird. I coloured it green. In the background I splashed some colour. I like the randon effect of the paint.

Por fuera coloreé otro pájaro de verde. Y para el fondo unas pocas salpicaduras. Me gusta el efecto y que no está para nada planeado donde caerán las gotas...

          

And this week I am leaving to Lanzarote with my family. I am to going to relax and have fun. See you next time.
